FAQs

1. Will my car fit on it?

The Turntable diameter is 3.8m
Only the wheels need to be located on the turntable, any overhang can sweep over adjacent land areas including grassed areas if there is sufficient ground clearance on the car. The required Free-Space diameter of the turning area needed is the diagonal dimension of car to be turned.

2. How long does it take to fit?

We can usually deliver and fit in a single day. Some sites may require additional preparation.

3. What if I need site preparation?

If you require groundwork or an electrical supply, the price is subject to a site survey, please contact us for a quote.

4. How is it installed?

The turntable is usually fitted above ground. It can be laid directly onto tarmac, paviours, concrete, gravel or even turf. It requires a 230v electrical supply to power the motor.

5. Can it be flush mounted?

Yes. Either the ground can excavated a small amount to receive the turntable or alternatively the turntable can be laid on the surface and the surrounding area made up with feature paving.

6. Can it be used for temporary displays?

Yes. The turntable can sit flat on the ground or floor. It can be used for a large variety of applications and is particularily suited to those of a temporary nature such as a car show room.

7. What if I need help?

Should you need help or support then you can phone for free technical advice. If this does not sort out the problem, then we will arrange for a service engineer to call.

8. Is it covered by a warranty?

The equipment is covered by a 12 month warranty; if there is a manufacturing defect then we will be happy to come and sort it out. You can purchase an annual check-up and service – the first year is included free for a limited time.

9. Is it safe?

The turntable has been tested for compliance with the legal directives. Essential Health and Safety Requirements were evaluated by a third party test house. It has a number of added safety features for extra protection.

10. Durable?

Yes. The turntable surface is made of premium quality non-corrosive aluminium and can take vehicles up to 2 tons. Stainless steel is used for internal parts and fixings.

11. Quality?

The main parts are laser cut from CAD drawings to give a highly accurate and repeatable result. Internal parts and fixings use Stainless Steel. The motor and gearbox have been chosen for quality, ruggedness and reliability.

12. Is the key-fob secure?

A high security keyfob is used, which changes code on each transmission. This is un-noticed by users and is fully compatible with multi-keyfob usage.

13. How many keyfobs can be used with a single turntable?

A total of 30 keyfobs can be used with a single turntable.

14. If it is so thin – how does it work?

It is made of three layers – a bit like a flexible sandwich. The lower layer is stationary, the top layer rotates and the centre layer provides highly distributed support for the top layer and rotates at half the speed of the top layer.
